Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most uncomfortable Boots I purchased these boots about a month ago because I have never had the composition toe before always steel toe. My previous boots were the Mens Rugged Tan Cowhide Stampede Steel Toe Work Boots, I loved those boots. They fit great for the two years I wore them. Since I loved them so much I decide this time to try a very similar boot but with the comp toe due to the fact that I work so much outside in the cold. I bought the exact same size as my old steel toes, the two pair look identical. But for some reason these comp toe boots are killing my feet. They did from day one, I wore them through the break in period hoping they would get better but they havent. Now Ive worn them outside so much i cant return them. Now Im stuck with $175.00 boots that I cant stand! I love Justin boots, Ive had at least 6 pair. But for as much as they cost and the extreme discomfort im having with these comp toe boots Im going to have to shop around for my next pair (outside Justins), and that may be very soon. My feet cant take these new ones much longer. These Boots were both purchased at Cavenders in Kansas City, Kansas. Id appreciate your feedback and solution to this issue. At this point Id like to just go back to the style of my old boots. Ill probably never try a Justin composition toe again. It may not be because of the comp toe but thats the only diffrence in the two boots.

The OrthoLite® insert is made of open-cell polyurethane foam, which by nature is extremely breathable, lightweight and flexible. It also retains 95 percent of its original thickness and won't flatten over time. The insert has anti-bacterial characteristics and can easily be removed, washed and replaced.
 
Justin Stabilization Technology®
Justin's Foot Stabilization insert technology uses dual density medical memory foam to stabilize the foot while still allowing it to move as needed. A rigid polyethylene heel and instep further increase stabilization. Additional foam instep in the ball area absorbs shock, while a moisture-wicking antimicrobial footbed keeps feet fresher longer.
 
Tec Tuff®
TecTuff is an abrasion resistant water-based poly-urethane finishing process applied to genuine leather substrate. It is an extremely durable, environmentally friendly material that resists abrasion, water, oil and other chemicals.
 
Dri-Lex®
The Dri-Lex® cooling system uses Hydrofil® Nylon to pull moisture from the inside of the shoe, leaving the insole dry and cool against the skin. Dri-Lex® is quick-drying and resists odor and mildew.
