Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimmer from Stands up to the abuse I have had my boots for 1 week now and just love them. The fit is very comfortable and they seem to stand up to the abuse that I put them through so far. When I bought them and explained the tuff conditions I worked in the salesperson advised me to use Mink Oil Paste on the boot every 2 weeks or so to help with the waterproofing (I work in the Concrete business). I have stood in puddles of water up to my ankles and the boots have stool up to the test. No leaks. I believe I have made the right choice. Thanks for making a great boot to work in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hb238 from Not the American Quality one would expect I have never seen a boot (waterproof or not) that leaks as bad as these. After one night of wearing them at work I literally took them off to check for holes. I have had many different brands of boots and never advertised as water proof but these let water in just from a light rain. Will never buy Justin boots again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by boilermakin bob from Feel like slippers! Working in the industrial construction industry (power and oil), my boots on a daily basis get put to the test walking on steel grating (primarily), concrete, and rock. The leather sees water, snow, mud, crude oil, grease, molten steel and coal every day. The leather stays soft even after being saturated in water (doesn't seem like the leather is treated AT ALL with water proofing), the soft leather wears out quick from kneeling if you don't protect the toes, however, it's just leather over steel, you need to protect the toes if you kneel a lot. The soles are soft but tough which gives my flat feet and bad back a break from most "hard soled, long lasting" boots. I used to wear hard soled lace up boots which would last 1 to 1 1/2 years but I was always in pain. Tried these on and they felt like slippers, took a chance and bought them and put them to the test. 6 months later, the soles are ripped and torn in spots, leathers worn through on one toe and scuffed up but not cut. Just ordered my 2nd pair (don't need them yet) but I can start breaking them in. The comfort level of these boots are worth the extra pair I'll buy each year but, no more aching feet at the end of the day and no more hurting back. Everyone's different. I'm sure if I protect the toes and water proof them, I would be able to get a year or more out of them. (Steel toes could be a little taller and wider too) If you aren't comfortable in these boots or can't make them last, you're not wearing the correct size or caring for them properly, just my personal thoughts.
